History of Khmer New Year

Khmer New Year or "Choul Chnam Thmey" as said in the Cambodian language is celebrated in the month of April which celebrates the end of the harvest season where friends and family come together to enjoy the fruits of their labor. During this celebration, people play traditional games and go to the temple to receive blessings from Buddhist monks. Everyone wishes each other and their family success, peace, and happiness.

Traditional and Modern Games will be played throughout festival:  Chol Chhoung, Chab Kon Kleng, Bos Angkunh, Leak Kanseng, Bay Khon, Asian Hackeysack, Cambodian Jumprope, Sack Race, etc

Volunteers will be available throughout the entire time to help demonstrate games, help teach you how to dance, manage the kid's area, and provide information.
